On The Bright Side...

One of my all-time favorite quotes/passages is this one from Viktor Frankl:

We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

I wish kids memorized this one in school like the Gettysburg Address or the Kama Sutra... whatever they're teaching these days.

Too many people today are getting caught up in the gloom and doom alarmism about the economy and such, while forgetting they're in control of their own lives, not to mention already in the greatest country in the world.

Here's two clips of people that beautifully illustrate that life is what you make of it:

The second clip you're going to have to click on, but it's well worth it.
Watch this very inspiring clip of a rock 'n' roll group made up of senior citizens here.

Real nice post. I find that when I blog it is very easy to find stories about some stupidity or cruelty or just some negative aspect of what is going on in the world.

It is very refreshing seeing an uplifting post like this. I've got to do more of this sort of thing myself.

Thanks.
