Congratulations! You Can Keep Your Money Now.

Whether you were aware of it or not, until the middle of last week you weren't working for yourself, but instead the federal government. The nearly four months worth of wages prior were what it took to pay your cumulative taxes.

April 23rd was this year's National Tax Freedom Day. Depending on what state you live in your specific date may be earlier or later.

Below is a graph of Tax Freedom Days over the past 26 years. Notice the very clear incline during the Clinton years(1992-2000) and a very dramatic decline after the Bush tax cuts took effect. (Click on the picture for a closer look)

Wait, that graph shows two and a half previous recessions. According to the news, this is the worst economy ever, and the first time anything bad has happened to the country (all thanks to The WAR). What gives libs?
